About OffCloud.tools

What this is

OffCloud.tools is a set of five free browser-based utility tools: an image compressor, a PDF editor, an image-to-PDF converter, a QR code generator, and a password generator. Each one runs entirely inside your browser. Nothing you process is ever uploaded to a server.

Why we built it

The “simple online utility” space is dominated by tools that require you to upload your files to their servers. This creates real risks — your tax documents, passport scans, and medical forms passing through servers you know nothing about. We built OffCloud.tools because modern browsers are powerful enough to handle these tasks locally, and there was no good reason to keep requiring server-side processing.

Every tool on this site uses standard Web APIs: the Canvas API for image processing, WebAssembly (via pdf-lib) for PDF work, the Web Crypto API for password generation. These are built into your browser. We just put a usable interface on top of them.

The privacy promise

We will never add server-side file processing. The client-side architecture is not a feature we might remove — it is the entire point of this project. Open your browser developer tools and check the Network tab while using any tool. You will see zero file upload requests.

How it's funded

OffCloud.tools is free to use. It is funded by a single non-intrusive advertisement on each tool page (via Google AdSense or Ezoic, once approved) and by affiliate links to products we genuinely recommend. Both are clearly labelled. There are no subscriptions, no data sales, no signup requirements.
