Privacy Policy

Summary

Your files are never uploaded to our servers. All tool processing (image compression, PDF operations, QR code generation, password generation) runs entirely inside your browser using local Web APIs. We do not see, store, or transmit the files you use with our tools.

1. What data we collect

1.1 Analytics (Plausible)

We use Plausible Analyticsto understand aggregate traffic patterns. Plausible is a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. Data collected includes: page URL, referrer, browser type, country (derived from IP — the IP itself is not stored), and whether the visitor is new or returning (via a daily hash). This data is aggregate-only and cannot be used to identify individual visitors. You can view Plausible's data policy at plausible.io/privacy.

1.2 Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertisements on tool pages via Google AdSense. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve personalised advertisements based on your browsing history and interests. This is separate from OffCloud.tools' own data collection. You can:

Google AdSense is only loaded after you accept non-essential cookies via our cookie consent banner. If you reject non-essential cookies, no AdSense script is loaded.

1.3 Affiliate links

Some pages include affiliate links to third-party products and services. These links are clearly labelled. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Clicking affiliate links may allow the linked merchant to set their own cookies; their privacy policies apply.

1.4 Files you process

Files dropped into any OffCloud.tools tool are processed entirely inside your browser. They are not uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere outside your device. Once you close or navigate away from a tool page, the browser discards all file data. We have no technical ability to access your files.

2. Cookies

OffCloud.tools itself sets no cookies beyond the cookie consent preference (a single consent value stored in localStorage). Plausible Analytics sets no cookies. Google AdSense sets cookies only if you accept non-essential cookies via our consent banner.

3. Data retention

Plausible retains aggregate analytics data for as long as we maintain an active account. No personal data is retained because none is collected. Google AdSense data retention is governed by Google's own policies.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:

• Right to access personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
• Right to restrict processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing
• Right to withdraw consent at any time (via the cookie banner)

Because we collect no personally identifiable information ourselves, most of these rights apply only to data held by our third-party processors (Plausible, Google). To exercise rights against Google, contact Google directly via their privacy controls.

5. Data transfers

Plausible Analytics is hosted in the EU. Google's servers may be located outside the EU; Google maintains Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border data transfers.

6. Changes to this policy

We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when material changes are made. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
